1                 INSTITUTIONAL STRENGTHENING & GOVERNANCE

OBJECTIVE   :   BUILD OUCCI INTO A CREDIBLE, PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOUNTABLE ORGANISATION

 

Action Plans

·      Develop & implement corporate governance policies, code of ethic and operational SOPs.

·      Establish OUCCI secretariat office in a strategic location – Miri and later Kuching

·      Register OUCCI as a recognized stake holder in National/Regional development councils and government panels.

·      Implement membership MM System to manage and grow database (target : 500 members in 2 years)

  

2               MEMBERSHIP GROWTH & ENGAGEMENT

OBJECTIVE  :  UNITE AND EMPOWER ORANG ULU ENTREPRENEURS              PROFESSIONALS & YOUTH

Action Plans

·      Launch a membership drive campaign

(Digital + grassroots road shows)

·      Form Sectoral Committees Agriculture, Youth, Tourism, Women Green Tech

·      Host Quarterly Networking Events and Annual OUCCI Summit 

·      Provide member – only benefits Mentorship, business matching, trade mission, funding access

 

3                ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

OBJECTIVE  :  ACCELERATE ORANG ULU PARTICIPATION  IN BUSINESSES & INVESTMENTS

 

Action Plans

·      Roll out the “Orang Ulu Entrepreneurs Development Programme (OUEDP) – training, coaching, incubation with the help of government agencies , TERAJU

·      Partner with TERAJU, MARA , SME CORP, MILTRED

SALCRA etc to channel grants and advisory services.

·      Support community – based economic projects, eco-tourism, agro processing, crafts and indigenous products

·      Establish OUCCI Micro grant or Revolving Fund Scheme (pilot with RM200,000 -  target capital)   

 

4               STRATEGIC PROJECTS AND GREEN ECONOMY

OBJECTIVE :   POSITION ORANG ULU AS KEY PLAYER IN

                          SARAWAK ‘S SUSTAINABILITY AGENDA

               Action Plans

·      Identify and support 3-5 community led green economypilot projects (e.g Organic farming, Forest products, Solar energy, Eco-tourism) 

·      Collaborate with Universities, NGOS and International donors on climate adaptation and biodiversity conservation projects

·      Publish the OUCCI Green. Economy Strategy Paper to be submitted to the State Government and GLCs

·      Organize an indigenous sustainability Forum (Year 2) With Regional/International partners.

 

5               EDUCATION TALENTs & YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

OBJECTIVE  :  RAISE A NEW GENERATION OF EDUCATED, INNOVATIVE ORANG ULU LEADERS

Action Plans

·      Launch the OUCCI Scholarship Fund (partnering with Sponsors & CSR Donors)

·      Set up Youth Leadership Academy and Internship placements with partners companies.

·      Host Innovation & Business pitch competition (Targeting Youth from rural schools and colleges)

 

6               ADVOCACY & STAKEHOLDERS INFLUENCE

OBJECTIVE :  ENSURE OUCCI IS RESPECTED VOICE IN POLICY ND BUSINESS DECISIONS

Action Plans

·      Draft and present Policy Papers to the Sarawak Government. Eg.  On rural infrastructure, orang ulu economic participation and cultural heritage protection 

·      Engage in policy dialogue with Premier Office, Ministries GLCs Federal and State Agencies

 

·      Develop Strategic Partnerships with Chambers like MCC,  SBF,  DCCI (Dayak) Chambers and Sabah – base counter parts.

 

·      Appointing a Public Affairs & Media Advisor to manage Communication, Branding and Media Relation, Monitoring and Reporting. 

·      Create a 2 year Strategic Dashboards to track progress (KPI – based project completion, members growth, funding raised) 

·      Publish an Annual OUCCI Report and hold AGM with full transparency.  

·      Set up an Advisory Council of Senior Orang Ulu Leaders and Professionals for Wisdom Connections and Credibility
